Lebensversicherung von 1871 a. G. München (LV 1871) specializes in innovative occupational disability insurance, life insurance and pension insurance and is based in Munich. In addition to 450 employees, the insurance company works with over 8,000 independent insurance brokers. M2 was to implement a new BI tool for the planning and monitoring process with greater usability for the employees in controlling.

Procedure

  • Elaboration of the requirements for the new planning tool by means of user surveys
  • Development of a technical concept and tool selection
  • Conducting a four-week feasibility study
  • Further development of a tool as a minimum viable product in joint sessions with LV1871
  • Testing by selected users and further development based on feedback

Project result

  • Integrated solution for material cost and investment planning through the use of two Tableau dashboards in one tool
  • Two functions in one tool: extensive analyses and input of forecast and plan values using the M2 Form Builder
  • Simplified, user-friendly input mask that can be filled in manually or automatically
