Managed Services for Business Intelligence Projects

How operationalization & scaling of data infrastructure works

AWS, M2

To ensure that large volumes of data are always available and can be processed smoothly, more and more companies are turning to the cloud. Our Managed Services support model, which is now used by many customers from different industries, offers you the option of having us manage the time-intensive operation of your infrastructure.

Individual service: We take over the infrastructure operation of our customers

A secure and high-performance data infrastructure is the basis for the productive use of data-driven processes and applications. To ensure that large volumes of data are always available and can be processed smoothly, more and more companies are turning to the cloud. To ensure smooth operation of their cloud-based infrastructure for our partners and customers, we offer our Managed Servicessupport model.

This means that we take over all or part of our customers' infrastructure operations. This service is the responsibility of our Technology Team, led by Dr. Wolfgang Schult, Technology Lead at M2. For years, the team has specialized in scaling BI platforms, analytics and data warehouse solutions flexibly and ensuring efficient operation.

Exchanging ideas: Florian Rieger (Head of Technology, 2nd from left) and Wolfgang Schult (Chief Architect & Technology Lead, far right) exchange information every morning on the current status of the infrastructures they support.

Leveraging synergies: The Global Performance Dashboard

For our cloud-based support model, which is now used by many customers from different industries, we use different tools and technologies to ensure efficient and smart operations. Most of our customers are hosted in the high-performance cloud offering of our technology partner Amazon Web Services (AWS). This provides us with the ability to leverage a global performance dashboard.

Through this dashboard, we have a real-time view of all the systems we run and can identify anomalies and faults at an early stage. Since several systems are visualized in parallel on this dashboard, it is possible to compare system parameters and the respective usage behavior across customer boundaries for continuous improvement of the systems. Ultimately, our customers benefit from the resulting synergies and recommendations

Real-time analysis: alarm conditions, user behavior or process errors

The dashboard displays alarm conditions, logged-in users on the system, errors in Tableau processes or system metrics. Excessive utilization of individual storage or networks can thus be quickly identified and communicated. Within a very short time, we can get in touch with our customers to prevent possible system failures or malfunctions and coordinate the right countermeasures.

If you would also like to have our technology team demonstrate how our managed service model works, please feel free to contact us. We look forward to presenting our service offering to you in person.

Simon Klimke, Lead Data Developer in the Technology team, always keeps an eye on the performance of the supported systems. Any anomalies are immediately discussed and quickly dealt with by the team.
