The German-language M2 white paper “Data Driven Government: Secure Data Provision in the Cloud” sheds light on how the public sector can use digitalization to make data-driven decisions and make processes more efficient.
Data security, data protection and the creation of an appropriate technical infrastructure are basic prerequisites for handling sensitive data and can be a challenge. Cloud technologies such as those of our partner Amazon Web Services (AWS) enable secure, IT-Grundschutz-compliant and efficient provision of data for administrations, companies and citizens, and offer decisive advantages, which are presented in this white paper.
As an example of an IT-Grundschutz-compliant cloud environment on AWS, the eCORDA project, which was implemented for the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and fulfills extensive security requirements, is highlighted. Finally, the white paper provides specific recommendations for getting started with cloud projects.
