The M2 Mail Tool enables automated mailing and sends dynamic Tableau content to individual recipients. Images, PDFs and raw data can be sent either in text or as attachments.
The M2 Mail Tool at one glance
As part of the M2 Toolbox, the M2 Mail Tool can be accessed via a web interface and is protected by the necessary user authentication. Any number of users can be created. Rights management allows the separation of individual users and their content. The toolbox can be installed parallel to running Tableau Server instances or on separate servers and can be used via the web browser.
Personalize mailings
The integrated WYSIWYG mail editor can be used to create attractively formatted mailings that contain embedded views from Tableau Server. The mailings can be personalized with dynamically filled placeholders in the text.
Insert files from Tableau as attachments
Dashboards and views can also be attached to the mail as PDF, PNG or CSV files. Complete workbooks can also be attached as PDF files.
Define recipient lists
New recipient lists can be created or imported from a CSV file. Individual filter settings can be defined for each recipient based on the filters used in the dashboard. The filters apply to each of the embedded or attached views.
